§ A5-1. [Necessity for creation.]

  • It is declared as a matter of legislative determination that the hereinafter described unincorporated area lying partly in Marion County and partly in Levy County, in the State of Florida, has for the most part heretofore been developed as a private subdivision or subdivisions known as Rainbow Lakes Estates and that on November 1, 1970, the developer and subdivider of said subdivision or subdivisions will cease their operations and maintenance of the roads, community, and civic recreational facilities and limited fire and police protection which has been afforded to the residents of said subdivision and that it is necessary that a municipal service tax district be created in said area in order to provide for the continued maintenance, operation, and upkeep of said facilities and further providing limited municipal services for the present and future residents of said area.
