Division 2. ROAD AND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS IN UNRECORDED SUBDIVISIONS |
§ A6-22. [Definitions.]
As used in this act [division]:
(1)
Board means the board of county commissioners of Marion County, Florida.
(2)
Road and drainage improvements means that construction, reconstruction, repair, grading, paving, hard-surfacing, re-hard-surfacing, widening, guttering, or draining of streets and roads including all necessary facilities and appurtenances of all or part of a comprehensive storm water system.
(3)
Subdivision means a parcel of land which has been divided into three (3) or more lots or parcels of land, whether improved or unimproved, for the purpose of transferring ownership to such lots or parcels.
(4)
Unrecorded subdivision means a subdivision in which access to all or portions of the lots or parcels of land is by roads or easements not owned by or dedicated to the public or to a governmental body having maintenance jurisdiction of such roads or easements. The term also includes any subdivision within which the road or easements have been dedicated to the public but which have never been accepted as a county road either for ownership or maintenance purposes.
