§ A10-2. Marion County Sports Authority.

The board of county commissioners of Marion County may create by ordinance, subject to approval at a referendum, the Marion County Sports Authority, hereinafter called the authority, a public agency politic and corporate for the purpose of planning, developing, maintaining, and promoting a comprehensive complex of sports and recreation facilities, which purpose is hereby deemed to be a public purpose.
