§ A11-2. Declaration of legislative intent.

The provisions of chapter 367, Florida Statutes, to the contrary notwithstanding, it is the intent and purpose of this act to authorize the board of county commissioners of Marion County to establish by ordinance the Marion County Utility Authority to own and operate utilities in Marion County and to exercise the powers and duties provided for in this act as authorized in the ordinance establishing the authority.
