§ 16-12. Violations and enforcement.

  • It shall be unlawful for any person to violate any of the provisions in this article. Any person who violates this article may be prosecuted before the code enforcement board and punished in the manner provided by applicable law. The county also may sue to restrain, enjoin, or otherwise prevent a violation of this article. The county shall be entitled to reasonable attorneys fees if it prevails in such suit. The county may initiate criminal proceedings by referring violations of this article to the state attorney's office. The remedies contained herein are cumulative and shall supplement any other remedies provided at law or in equity.
