§ 16-64. Non-collection procedures for franchise holders.
(a)
In the event a mechanical container is overfilled and cannot be emptied safely, the franchise holder shall immediately notify the customer and reschedule the collection service. The franchise holder also shall notify the customer and director if the franchise holder believes the franchise holder should increase the frequency of collection service or increase the size of the mechanical container.
(b)
The franchise holder shall refuse to collect any material that the franchise holder believes is hazardous waste. In such cases, the franchise holder shall take photographs of the waste material (if possible), and immediately notify the customer and the director. If the generator of such waste is unknown, the franchise holder shall work with the director to identify the generator.
