§ 18-6. Vehicles for sale.

  • The prohibition of F.S. § 316.1951(1) and all provisions of F.S. § 316.1951 are hereby adopted and incorporated into the Marion County Code of Ordinances, with the prohibition to read as follows: No person shall park a motor vehicle for a continuous period of twenty-four (24) hours, after written notice:

    (1)

    Upon a public street or highway,

    (2)

    Upon a public parking lot,

    (3)

    Upon other public property, or

    (4)

    Upon private property where the public has the right to travel by motor vehicle,

    for the principal purpose of displaying the motor vehicle for sale, hire, or rental unless the display of such motor vehicle is specifically authorized on such property by municipal or county regulation and the person is licensed as a motor vehicle dealer in accordance with F.S. § 320.27 and the person is in compliance with all municipal or county licensing regulations.
