§ 18-7. Parking in areas zoned for residential uses.

  • (a)

    Number of motor vehicles. For any parcel of land which is zoned for residential uses, as defined in Section 2.2 of the Marion County Land Development Code, no more than one motor vehicle per one thousand eight hundred seventy-five (1,875) square feet of surface area shall be parked outside of an enclosed structure or carport. For residentially zoned parcels one acre or less in size, a total of no more than five (5) motor vehicles may be parked.

    (b)

    Penalty. Any person who directly or indirectly violates the provisions of this section shall be guilty of a nonmoving violation and, in accordance with F.S. § 316.1967 shall be subject to a fine of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) for the first offence, fifty dollars ($50.00) for the second offense, and one hundred ($100.00) for the third or subsequent offenses.
