§ 19-198. Inspections.

  • The county shall have, at all times during the construction, the right to inspect the construction of the onsite distribution and/or collection systems being built by the contributor, or his agents or employees, as set forth in sections 19-195 and 19-196 of this division and receive payment of any fees referred to herein.

    (1)

    After hours inspection of construction. The county shall charge for inspections of work performed by a contractor that extends after normal working hours and county approved holidays. The fee will be one and one half (1½) times the per hour charge for inspection services. The minimum time that may be requested is two (2) hours. The entity requesting the after hours inspection shall sign and return the request form, provided by the utilities department, acknowledging their agreement to pay for the inspection prior to the inspection taking place. Payment must be received within fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of the after hour inspection.

    Construction reinspection and water quality testing. The county may charge a reinspection fee and testing charges after the initial test conducted as required by the county fails. A reinspection fee shall be charged for water quality testing conducted without inspection. All inspections shall be scheduled with the utilities department a minimum of forty-eight (48) hours prior to the test.
