§ 19-286. Emergency acts.
(a)
Each public potable water system may interrupt water service to any private water system when necessary to prevent continued or potential backflow or cross-connection from a prohibited connection , until the requirements of this article have been met.
(b)
When possible, public potable water system operators will provide advanced notice of each interruption of service required by this article.
(c)
In the event of known pollution or contamination of a public potable water system or a customer's private water system due to backflow on or from the customer's service address , the customer shall promptly take reasonable steps to confine further pollution or contamination of the public potable water system and shall immediately notify the system operator .
