§ 2-47. Appointment, qualifications, and compensation.

  • The county administrator shall be appointed solely on the basis of his executive and administrative qualifications with special reference to his actual experience in, and knowledge of, the duties of office as herein prescribed. At the time of his appointment, the county administrator need not be a resident of the county or the state. However, during his tenure of office he shall reside within the county. The compensation of the county administrator shall be fixed by the board of county commissioners by resolution after discussion of the same as an item on the board's agenda.
