§ 2-78. Election of officers.

  • (a)

    The historical commission shall elect a president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer.

    (b)

    Any member of the historical commission may be elected to the position of president, vice president, treasurer, or secretary by the historical commission for a term of two (2) years. A member may serve an unlimited number of terms in any position.

    (c)

    A general election of all officers shall take place biennially (once every two (2) years).

    (d)

    The historical commission shall hold a special election to fill any vacancy in any officer role that may occur in the course of an officer's term. The member elected to the position by special election shall serve for the remainder of the originally elected officer's two-year term.
