§ 2-236. Central procurement system.
(a)
There is hereby established a central procurement system which consists of a procurement services department supervised by a procurement services director and specified staff members of the department and deemed appropriate and budgeted for by the county administrator and approved by the board of county commissioners. All procurements for goods and services for the county, except those goods and services excluded from the application of this article, shall be effected through the central procurement system.
(b)
The county is authorized to procure goods and services of every description and nature necessary to the operation of county government under this article.
