§ 5-51. Definitions.

  • As used in this article, unless the context clearly requires a different meaning:

    Disposable container means a receptacle designed to be used once, then thrown away. For purposes of this article, disposable containers include, but are not limited to, metal and aluminum cans, cardboard containers, glass containers and breakable plastic containers.

    Food shall mean anything which is eaten or drunk for nourishment, any substance that is taken in the body which serves through organic action to build up normal structure or supply the waste of tissue, and includes confectionery.

    K.P. Hole means a point 100 feet north of the north boundary of the northwest one-quarter of the southeast one-quarter of section 18, township 16 south, range 19 east, to a point 700 feet south of the north boundary of the southeast one-quarter of the southwest one-quarter of section 18, township 16 south, range 19 east.

    Motorboat shall mean any vessel which is propelled or powered by machinery and which is used or capable of being used as a means of transportation on water.

    No wake—idle speed zone means a restricted or controlled area which has been established to protect the interest of the public wherein a motorboat, vessel and other watercraft cannot proceed at a speed greater than that speed which is necessary to maintain steerageway.

    Nonalcoholic beverage shall mean a liquid for drinking, including water.

    Operate shall mean to navigate or otherwise use a vessel.

    Rainbow River shall mean the following real property: Commencing at the intersection of Blue Run with the Withlacoochee River in section 35, township 16 south, range 18 east; thence run southeasterly and easterly along Blue Run to the east boundary of section 35; thence continue easterly and northerly along Blue Run through section 36, township 16 south, range 18 east, to the north boundary of section 36; thence continue northerly and northeasterly along Blue Run in section 25, township 16 south, range 18 east to the north boundary of the city limits of Dunnellon; thence from the north boundary of the city limits of Dunnellon, in section 25, township 16 south, range 18 east; thence run easterly along Blue Run to its intersection with the east boundary line of section 25; thence continue easterly along Rainbow River (Blue Run) into section 30, township 16 south, range 19 east, thence northerly along Rainbow River (Blue Run) through sections 30 and 19, township 16 south, range 19 east; thence northerly and northwesterly through section 18, township 16 south, range 19 east, to a point on the north boundary of the northwest quarter of section 18; thence continue to run northwesterly to the head of Rainbow Springs in section 12, township 16 south, range 18 east.

    Vessels shall include every description of watercraft, barge, and airboat, other than a seaplane on the water, used or capable of being used as a means of transportation on water.
