§ 9-50. Verification and supervision.

  • In the event that any person(s) or entity undertakes, either voluntarily or upon order of the fire chief or other county official, to cleanup or abate the effects of any hazardous material unlawfully released, discharged or deposited upon or onto any property or facility within the county, the Marion County Fire Chief or other county official may take such action as is necessary to supervise or verify the adequacy of the cleanup or abatement. The person(s) or entity described in section 9-49 above shall be liable to the county for all costs incurred as a result of such supervision or verification.
